In the material world, everything is temporary. Happiness is fleeting and being content can seem like an unreachable goal. The spirit soul is only truly happy when we are serving the Lord with love. That is the original position of all spirit souls, as we are all part and parcel of the Absolute Truth. That is why we are happiest when we're serving others. The material existence is a perverted reflection of the spiritual world. Without even realizing it, we are all servants.
The mother serves her children; the politicians serve the people; cows serve us humans with their milk; even the trees serve us by producing oxygen. True happiness comes when we accept our role and serve with light, love, and purpose, offering all that we do to the Lord.
